Europastry adds to its savoury snack range
The company has launched some new savoury baked products for on-the-go consumption, designed for the traditional and horeca channels
There is a growing demand for on-the-go products, particularly in big cities. More and more people want to make the most of their lunch breaks, so they choose ready-made foods that are easy to eat any time, any place... even while walking along the street.
To cater for these consumers and to continue innovating in the frozen dough sector, Europastry has just launched some new savoury baked products for the traditional and horeca channels.
New mini formats
One of the innovations launched by Europastry is the new mini format, perfect for the horeca channel, for catering and restaurant use or for selling by weight via the traditional channel.
Europastry’s new mini formats are made with puff pastry, glazed with egg and distributed ready-to-bake. There are three new mini nests and two new mini savoury puff pastry, with delicious fillings ideal for lunchtime: Napoli Mini Nest, with tomato sauce, chunks of cheese and a touch of oregano; Carbonara Mini Nest, with an onion and bacon sauce and the Capri Mini Nest with creamed spinach and goat’s cheese. There is also a Mini Chicken Curry Puff Pastry and a Mini Vegetable Puff Pastry, with aubergine, green pepper and courgette ratatouille and a touch of black pepper.
Also launched by the leading frozen dough company are three new empanadas with the traditional flavours that are still proving to be consumers’ favourites: Tuna Empanada, Meat Empanada and Chicken Empanada.
Made with thin pastry, these new empanadas by Europastry are filled with a carefully sourced, generous selection of top-quality ingredients and are glazed with egg. They can all be cut into individual portions or into small pieces for tasting and they are suitable for serving both hot and cold.
