Europastry. The king of par-baked bread

The trajectory of this Catalan company shows how
to be successful taking into account the fashion for
the Mediterranean diet and healthy eating. According
to its managing director, Jordi Morral, “the
habits of Spanish people have changed and Europastry
has adapted to these tendencies.”
The company’s strategy centres on high-quality
part-baked bread and frozen bread and pastry products.
Its figures are a demonstration of how to tackle consumer
habits: company turnover has gone from 55 million
in 1996 to 247 million last year.
The company has 14 production plants, 12 delegations
and 140 distributors serving its 27,000 clients. The
company employs 2,272 people and in 2005 it made investments
worth 35 million Euro.
