Europastry launches a new range of palm oil-free Dots
The new Dots family replaces palm oil with high-oleic sunflower oil, rich in monounsaturated acid and omega-9
Europastry, a market leading company in the frozen dough sector, launches its new range of palm oil-free Dots. In the recipe of the new Dots family, palm oil is replaced with high-oleic sunflower oil, rich in monounsaturated fatty acid and omega-9. High-oleic sunflower oil has an 80 % fatty acid content, compared to 75 % found in olive oil or 31.5 % present in regular sunflower oil.
Joan Quílez, ETechnology and Quality director at Europastry, stresses that “Dots is Europastry's star product, and our goal is to keep on innovating to improve our products every day. With this new palm oil-free Dots range, we are adapting to our customers' trends to choose healthier options, while still retaining the same Dots flavour, as we stay true to the original recipe”.
The new range of palm oil-free Dots features three classic and delicious varieties: Cocoa Ball Dots, filled with an intense chocolate cream; Custard Long Dots and Cocoa Long Dots, filled with vanilla custard and chocolate cream, respectively.
Recovering the traditional craft techniques, Dots are prepared with carefully selected natural ingredients and raw materials without hydrogenated fats or artificial colouring. In addition, they require no handling, are easy and practical, and ready to serve.
