Europastry offers new healthier breads for the traditional channel
The company continues to focus on the variety and traceability of the grains used in its products
Over the last few years, the demand for sliced bread in the traditional channel has increased. This is due to its durability, its wide variety and the added convenience it offers the consumer, who can choose to have their bread sliced or not.
In order to meet this market trend, Europastry has launched three new types of 100% natural sliced bread, healthier (without additives) and with delicious flavours, to combine and include as part of a balanced diet. Made with different types of grains, each one of our bread varieties offers various benefits depending on the consumer's needs:
The Wholegrain Bread is prepared with sourdough and is rich in fibre. The High Protein Bread features sesame and sunflower seeds as well as brown linseed and is particularly rich in protein. Finally, the Energy Bread combines a wide variety of grains and fruits and its slow absorption releases energy all day long.
On the other hand, the leading company in frozen dough has introduced the Spelt Loaf. Spelt is a grain that has been used throughout history. It is purer, and ideal for ecological agriculture. Moreover, it contains less gluten and more fibre, minerals, vitamins, and essential fatty acids than other types of wheat. As a result, spelt is easier to digest. The loaf is made with Spelt flour and sourdough under a Clean Label guarantee. This ensures a spelt flour bread that is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a light taste of toasted walnuts thanks to the mix of grains used in the recipe.
